Cantonese home cooking restaurant ran by dad and son. Cleaner food, less oily and saucy, than other Cantonese restaurants but still flavorful. Comfort food for my wife and I. - Free Range Chicken (Gui Fei Ji) 4/5: Tender and not dry. Sauce can use some scallion. - Japanese Tofu on Pea Sprouts 5/5: Tofu was really good! It's soft egg tofu on the inside with a layer of tofu skin on outside. Pea sprouts aren't in season but still pretty good for out of season. - Salted Egg Yolk Pumpkin 4/5: I like the pumpkin can be a little softer but batter was right amount and egg yolk was good. - Steamed Egg with Clams 5/5: Steamed egg had perfect amount of water! Definitely like the one my grandma used to make. The clams can be a bit fresher. They have a call ahead menu for other dishes that need preparation. We will try that next time. Service was good. Food came out in ~10 minutes. Place is clean but not posh.

This is easily one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle! The food is SO DELICIOUS and fresh! The people who own the place are super friendly and kind. The ambiance is comforting and I always feel calm when I'm here. Literally everything I've gotten here is 5 stars but here are a few of my favorite dishes: - Japanese tofu clay pot - OMG! The tofu is so silky but with an outside breading that's like nothing I've ever had before. Try it IMMEDIATELY! - Mushroom clay pot - Also excellent. Saucy and with a savory blend of veggies like mushrooms, celery, etc - Salt and pepper tofu - Some of the best salt and pepper tofu I've ever had and this is a standard order for me at Chinese restaurants. - ye Mein noodles with vegetables - The texture of these noodles is incredible, thick and spongy and delicious. - Honey walnut prawns - Creamy and tender! - Pea vines with garlic - Succulent and garlicky. GO NOW!!!

Yes, we overordered. But that is never a problem. Especially when it comes to egg tofu with all kinds of vegetables, beef chow fun, salt and pepper pork chops, and all other delicious Cantonese standards. You also can receive a free dish on the house after spending $50 and $100.
